Snowshoe Trail Furggelen

The trailhead is immediately after the campsite in Oberiberg, at Petersboden. The trail leads through open landscape, past the chalet settlement Spätzeren, from where there is also an entry point. Once you have gained some height and passed through the sparse forest, the view opens up to the village of Oberiberg, the Sihl valley and the surrounding mountains. From Furggelen you enjoy an incomparable view of the great and small Mythen, Lake Lucerne and the mountain world.

On weekends, the alpine inn Furggelen is open. The range is small, but there is always a warm soup. We still recommend bringing drinks and a snack.

The return route follows exactly the same path as the ascent.

The snowshoe trail to Furggelen runs through the nature and wildlife protection area Ibergeregg. Leaving the marked snowshoe trail is not permitted, dogs must always be kept on a leash.
