Description
From Luthern Bad, the path follows the bed of the Luther stream along the left bank to the Hinder-Ey farm and climbs steeply through a short forest on the right over the ridge up the hill to Alp Trachselegg, where a first beautiful view invites you to rest. It continues over the meadow up to the mountain forest heading towards Napf. After a few loops in the steep forest, the summit with the mountain hotel and the magnificent panoramic view is reached.
The return route to Luthern Bad leads towards Niederänzi, first descending the meadow, then back through the mountain forest. At the first large clearing, you must turn right at the Bernese hiking trail sign! After a longer forest section, you will reach Alp Niederänzi, where, just before the farm, you go right along the meadow edge at the forest border downhill. Soon you will see Badegg with a great view over the Mittelland before the short steep descent to Luthern Bad awaits. It is worth visiting the Badbrünnli spring here. For 450 years, this spring with its healing water has been a popular pilgrimage site.
