Snowshoe hike Munt Sogn Gieri from Waltensburg

Easy, enjoyable, and a bit exclusive. That's how you could briefly describe the snowshoe tour.

The start is at Waltensburg Demvitg. This is at the lower end of the elongated mountain village. At the beginning, still wearing snowshoes, you walk through a residential area and later over forest and woodland paths towards the castle complex. The highlight is naturally the Jörgenburg (Munt Sogn Gieri). Who has ever walked through a snow-covered castle garden? That's not an everyday experience. Additionally, the views of the surrounding mountain world are really beautiful.

The return route goes over the meadow of Casti and Cantuns with a short ascent back to the starting point.
