Description

At the bus stop in Wiesen you follow a jeep track in northwestern direction, which can be a bit icy at times if it has not been snowing for a while. At Alt Saga you follow a very steep track uphill to Alp Vedra. There the slope gets more gentle and the first views show op. You follow the hill crest in north western direction to Alteinfurgga. This is quite safe terrain from avalanche perspective.

The descent is more tricky as it is a lot steeper. The snow quality was low making us having a bit more problems making a good track. Once on the plateau of Oberbärg it got easy again (there we made our first camp).

Pretty easy terrain the following day to Majafelder Furgga. Because of the low avalanche danger we pass the Tiejer Fürggli which was manageable on snowhoes. Our track crossing the southern flank of Shafgrind was a bit too steep. I advise to go lower down before heading back up. The climb to the Chörbsschornhütte was not difficult but physically a bit harder because of the snow warming up. We camped near the hut (door is open of this shelter so you could sleep here!).

The last day we climbed up Chörbsschora and follow the ridge back down. Because of the steep terrain we followed an alternative route to Lätschüelfurgga. After crossing a long slope we started the long descent to Davos. The last track was again very ice.
