SNOOC - Lü-Tschierv toboggan run

Best Time of Year
Description
Lü is considered one of the darkest places in Switzerland. Due to the clear sky and elevation, stars can be very well observed there. In winter, Lü is the starting point for the high-altitude cross-country trail and the toboggan run to Tschierv. The four-kilometer-long route starts directly at the PostAuto stop and leads comfortably on regular terrain through snow-covered forests to Tschierv. Where the piste leaves the forest, the panorama opens to the opposite valley side and towards the east. Impressive: the Ortler massif, which presents itself in the background. Tschierv is the destination of the descent. The uppermost valley community in Val Müstair lies southeast of the Ofen Pass and borders the Swiss National Park. Interesting: The residential buildings in Tschierv are influenced by both the Engadin and the nearby South Tyrol. Worth seeing are especially the village parts Chasuras, Plaz, and Süsom Tschierv as well as the church of Tschierv from the 15th century with the restored organ.
