Description
Scenic sledding run
The mountain village Mürren is considered the birthplace of alpine skiing. But sledding fans also get their money’s worth in the Schilthorn area, including on this path, which has been in operation since the winter season 2014/15. The 4-seater chairlift (behind the Schilthornbahn station Mürren) glides quickly up to the starting point Schiltgrat, where for the first time there is a divine view of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. On the first sections, the sleds really pick up speed. Depending on snow conditions, the second part is somewhat slower. After rushing past the sun-kissed chalet of “Gimmela,” the quaint Mürren comes back into view. Through the snow-covered forest, you finally arrive back down in the village.
