Sledding trail Weissenstein South

Description
The pass road from Oberdorf over the Weissenstein becomes a sledding trail in winter. Rapid descents are guaranteed. From Hotel Weissenstein or the top station of the Weissenstein cable car, the sledding slope runs to the middle station Nesselboden and, if there is enough snow, further down to the valley station Oberdorf. It is considered a classic among Swiss sledding slopes. The 4.5-kilometer long trail is very fast and winding; so during this challenging ride, which also offers a magnificent view, you can expect considerable speed.
As a more relaxed alternative, the sledding route from Weissenstein to Gänsbrunnen is recommended. After this sledding descent, you take the train from Gänsbrunnen through the Weissenstein tunnel back to Oberdorf to the valley station of the Weissenstein cable car.
Those who want to stretch their legs a bit before sledding on Weissenstein are advised to take the short winter hike from the cable car top station to the mountain restaurant Hinterweissenstein (about one hour round trip).
