Description

The old Walser settlement Schuders can be reached from Schiers via the world-famous Saginatobel Bridge. From there, a gently ascending little road leads to the Maiensäss. Taking it leisurely, it only takes one and a half hours and is rewarded with a dreamy panoramic view: from the Rätikon over the Rhine valley to the highest peaks of Graubünden. You do feel a bit sorry when the fog spreads like a duvet over the Central Plateau while you can relax in the sun at the Maiensäss. Those who like it sporty take the sled for the return journey. The road is lovingly maintained by locals with a small piste vehicle. Also very suitable for families with children.
