Ski tour from Splügen to the Mittagshorn (WS)

The ski route to the Mittaghorn leads through a first-class ski touring area in the Rheinwald with varied possibilities of different difficulty levels. The ascent starts at the upper parking lot of the Splügen Tambo mountain railways (beginning of the pass road). From there, follow the hiking trail through the forest, then continue south through open terrain to Rietboda. The path continues to the lake hut and along the Suretta lakes to point 2302. Follow the small valley to point 2542, the end point of the route. Many stop here before the descent, as the official summit is nearly at the same elevation and even slightly downhill in parts. The descent follows the ascent route. Please observe the wildlife sanctuary zone on the eastern side of the Fugscht forest!
