Silvaplana Explorer viewpoints: Circular hike Crest'Alta, Crap Alv, Waterfall

There is quite a lot to discover on this circular hike. At the Crest'Alta viewpoint, where a restaurant operated until 1964, you look out over the Piz peninsula and Silvaplana. The Crap Alv viewpoint offers a beautiful view over Lake Silvaplana, Sils, and Piz da la Margna. The Ova da Sagl waterfall is very impressive due to the snowmelt in early summer. At the bottom of the waterfall, on the shore of Lake Silvaplana, is the Nietzschestein. It was observed here how he sat on this stone by the lake shore and gathered his thoughts. Among other things, he came up with the idea of eternal recurrence here – the basic concept for his poetic masterwork "Thus Spoke Zarathustra." The castle Crap da Sass, which originates from romantic castle architecture, can be admired from the path, but it is not publicly accessible.
