Sihlsee Panorama Route

This circular route starts at the Adlermättli information panel in front of Einsiedeln Monastery, leads through the old Marstall and up to the St. Benedict statue, with a beautiful view over the monastery complex. Then it continues slightly uphill towards "Birchli." From the saddle, the view opens on both sides, over the village and the Sihlsee lake with the Alps in the background. A short detour to Vogelherd is recommended here. The path then leads down to the beach path and along the lake to just before the Hüendermatt dam. Afterwards, the route follows the lake past the sailing area to the Roblosen bathing area, then left towards Hirzenstein. Return via the forest path - Galgenchappeli - Old Etzel road - Horgenberg back to the monastery.
