Description

The starting point of the route is in Davos Frauenkirch. The trail mostly gently ascends on the right side of the valley following the wild Sertigbach. After about two kilometers through the lower Äbiwald, the Sertig mill is reached. The route now passes numerous Walser settlements as the valley opens up further. After around six kilometers, the highest point of the route is reached at the Felabach. Slightly downhill, you pass the Sertig village with its striking mountain chapel. The Sertig is considered a particularly protected region of Switzerland. Snow-covered pine and larch forests climb the mountain slopes; peaks such as Mittaghorn, Plattenfluh, and Hoch Ducan form an impressive backdrop. The last few hundred meters of the trail gently descend and end at the destination Sertig Sand. The return to Davos is on the same path – or you can choose the PostBus, which comfortably takes athletes back to Davos Platz via Clavadel.
