Selva Secca Lukmanier Pass, circular route

Description
This route does not belong to the marked snowshoe trail network. We are in open terrain where we must assess the dangers ourselves.
We follow the tracks of snowmobiles and other snowshoe hikers down to the stream and balance over the bridge crossing the Brenno, which flows gently and silently. Through the following open larch forest, we remain very quiet, as snow hares also live here. The gnarled larches wear original hats of snow - a wonderful photo subject. After a short time, we emerge from the forest and before us lies Alpe Stabbia Nuovo. The high-voltage line only slightly mars the natural experience and serves us as an orientation aid. We follow the hiking trail markers in a southeast direction so that we always have the wires nicely on our left side because this is the best way to find the entrance to Stèbia Vècc. Now it goes down through the forest into a romantic little valley where a narrow bridge leads us over the stream. The landscape is varied; open spaces and forest alternate. We take a break at the rustic houses in Pian Segno. In Acquacalda we keep right of the pass road and follow the summer hiking trail through the open larch forest to Alpe Pozzetta and back to the parking lot in Casaccia.
