Description

From the Segnes mountain station, follow the bike signs to the start of the Segnes Trail. The red enduro trail leads down to Punt Desch, the starting point of the Runca Trail.

Watch out: The first section of the Segnes Trail is tricky and demands full concentration. The trail initially descends over large slabs of rock, technical turns, and rocky steps. If difficult technical elements aren't your thing, you can follow the mountain road down a bit and join the Segnes Trail a little further on.

Once you've mastered (or bypassed) the first few meters with large slabs of rock, the trail becomes more flowing and offers playful combinations of turns, jumps, and rollers in the gravelly terrain. As soon as you reach the tree line, you'll find natural trail sections hidden in the pine forest, featuring small side hits and jumps. The surface becomes grippier and the tires gain more and more traction.

The Segnes Trail consists entirely of locally sourced material originating from the Flims landslide of around 9,500 years ago – still one of the largest known landslides in the world. Even today, you can still see the rock faces where the landslide broke loose at approximately 2,700 meters above sea level, sending 12 cubic kilometers of debris and rock slid into the Rhine, forming the famous Rhine Gorge. How the landslide changed the landscape is also reflected in the character of the trail; the surface under the tires constantly changes.

At the end of the Segnes Trail, you can cruise directly down to Flims on the popular Runca Trail.

The trail can be described as a moderately difficult, technical enduro singletrack and is aimed at advanced riders.
