Description
On the way in the homeland of Kilian Wenger, you will learn more about the popular national sport that has preserved its authentic origins. Wrestling feels good, makes you strong and resilient. Wrestling is lived comradeship and down-to-earthness. The people of Diemtigtal have known this for a long time, which is why it has been actively lived culture for generations. Moreover, the three Schwinger Kings from the Diemtigtal make us naturally very proud – do you know them?
Theme boards along the path give you an insight into the wrestling world, and you learn the various techniques and holds. Why are there alpine herdsmen and gym wrestlers, and what distinguishes them? The highlight of the path is reached at the end of your circular hike. In the Pavilion of the Schwinger Kings, you will find portraits of the “tough ones” and can admire the lifelike wooden bull “Arnold” and our Schwinger King himself at life size.
