Schwarzhorn via ferrata

We first have to earn the Schwarzhorn via ferrata. From the First mountain station, a road leads towards Grosse Scheidegg. After about 15 minutes, at a signpost, we follow the hiking trail that leads to the foot of Schwarzhorn, then the blue marked path takes us into the "Grosse Chrinne" and further to the start of the via ferrata. And off we go! We follow the cable and ladders (which have no anchoring points) and then the ridge until we stand on the 2,926 m high summit. By the way, halfway up, a bench awaits us inviting us to a cozy break. One note: for the moderately difficult to difficult via ferrata (K2-K3), we can book a mountain guide through one of the local schools.
