Scenic hike to the Bäderhorn

The path starts at the bus stop on the Jaunpass. At first, it gently ascends, partly through forest, mostly over open pasture. Until shortly before the Alp Grosse Bäder, the path is an asphalt road. A stop at the Bäderalp is worthwhile either before or after the ascent to the Bäderhorn. This innovative alpine operation produces special types of cow and goat cheese as well as solar oven meringues. The farm's little restaurant offers more delicacies. After the Bäderalp, the path first follows the slope straight along, then on a narrow trail up to the Bäderhorn. This section is very open, without trees, and goes over mountain meadows. At the summit, a wonderful 360-degree panorama of the Alps rewards you, and in good visibility, you can see all the way to Mont Blanc.
