Scenic gourmet tour on the Napf: Wasen - Hinterarni - Napf
Informationen zur Route
Description
The Napf, with its 1,406 meters height, towers as a majestic peak in the heart of the Napf mountain region and offers hikers an unparalleled panorama over the Emmental, the Entlebuch, and, in clear weather, up to the Bernese Alps. This region, characterized by gentle hills and deep valleys, invites you to an impressive ridge hike.
The appealing ascent starts in the village of Wasen in the Emmental. The path leads over the Hambüel to Voderarni and from there to the rustic Kuttelbad guesthouse, where the first culinary stop can be made and overnight stays are possible. Then the hiking trail follows the ridge line to Hinter Arni and afterwards to Lushütte; at both places traditional alpine farms invite you to rest. The hike continues along the Emmental alpine panorama trail with beautiful views. The highlight of the route is the Napf summit itself, rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view. At the Berghotel Napf, you can both dine and stay overnight.
For the descent, either the shorter path via Schlegelgraben (45 min) or the slightly longer route via Stächelegg (1h15min) to Mettlenalp can be chosen, where on weekends in the summer half-year a hiking bus runs to Langnau i.E.
