S.Bernardino - Val Vignun - Nufenen

Two route variants lead to Alp de Vignun, the first stage of the hike: one from the post office via "Acubona" at 1660m, the other from the mineral spring through the "Pescion" forest to Alp Vignun at 2115m elevation, which the herders use from July to September. After about an hour in gently ascending terrain, we reach the Strec de Vignun. From there, we have an elevation difference of 560m to overcome to reach Alp de Rog at 1812m, which is approximately halfway along the route. We then follow the path that runs parallel to the Areua river and reach the village of Nufenen at 1569m.
