Description

Far back in the Saxet valley lies Alp Nessleren, which serves as a summer grazing area for livestock from the region. In the funnel-shaped high valley, there is also the large catchment area of the spring water supply for Interlaken.

After a nearly one-hour ascent on foot, starting at the Skipintli restaurant in Saxeten, Alp Nessleren is reached. The winding descent leads past mostly frozen waterfalls, through mixed forests, and to the "Mulled Wine Bar" in Balmer's Witch's Cottage in Chalberboden, where there is an opportunity to warm up during a refreshment stop. From here, you can either tackle the ascent again or continue the cozy sledding fun through the snowy winter landscape to the endpoint, the Pintli restaurant in Saxeten.
