Description
The route starts from the center of the village and passes next to the mineral spring of San Bernardino, whose water was already known in Roman times for its peculiarities and healing properties. It continues through the Pescion forest, a dialect term meaning large “pescia”, that is, Norway spruce. The walk continues on the old Roman paved road until reaching the summit of the San Bernardino Pass, located at a height of 2065 meters, where you can enjoy an unbeatable view of the entire valley. Shortly after, the enchanting Moesola lake is reached, the source of the Moesa river, which crosses the entire Moesano territory. You can take a break and admire the wonderful panorama at the Ospizio Restaurant. The route then continues along the pass road, passing through Gereida and returning to San Bernardino village.
