Description
From Samnaun village, take the farm road steadily gently ascending to Val Musauna, always along the Schergenbach stream. From point 2087 the path becomes steeper up to the Zeblas meadows. From here it is not far to the Zeblasjoch pass, where the border to Austria lies. From Zeblasjoch you go back about 600 meters the same way and then turn right past the hunting lodge and a small pond towards the Sulnerferner glacier. The last 500 meters are on the former lateral moraine of the glacier, which it formed at its peak around 1850. At the foot of the glacier you feel like you are in a high alpine landscape, framed by Piz Vadret (Sulnerspitz) and the mighty flank of Piz Rots. There is not much left of the glacier: only a small ice field remains, completely covered with debris. But the view of the Samnaun valley is uniquely beautiful. Then the path leads back to the Zeblas meadows and down to Samnaun village.
