Description
In the remotest Bisistal lies the Ruosalp, located on Uri soil, where around 300 cattle are summered alongside cows and goats. A less known circular hike leads through this spacious and lonely area, which from the Ruosalper Chulm on the south side leads along Geissberg and Balmer Grätli back into the Bisistal. On the Schächental side of Balmer Grätli, the Dolomite feeling comes up; the path leads directly under vertical yellow rock walls. On the opposite valley side, the imposing 1500-meter high north faces of the Brunnital rise into the sky, south of Klausenpass the glacier-covered peaks of Schärhorn and Clariden.
