Route to the impressive valley of the waterfalls

The route starts at Interlaken West railway station and first leads over Rugen to Wilderswil. By the church, you cross a charming wooden bridge before tackling the demanding climb to Gsteigwiler. From Gsteigwiler, the route mainly runs on natural roads. You cycle along the Lütschine, through shady forests and over green meadows to the enchanting valley of the 72 waterfalls. The route is varied and offers something for every preference: gentle ascents, flat sections, and different surfaces. Upon arrival in Lauterbrunnen, you can calmly admire the imposing Staubbach waterfall and the surrounding mountain scenery. Round off your route with a relaxing picnic in the green or visit the thundering Trümmelbach falls some minutes further down the valley. Your route to Lauterbrunnen will surely be an unforgettable experience. The rapid descent back to Interlaken feels refreshing.
