Route Kemptthal – Winterthur

Already on the steep ascent from Kemptthal to Chämleten, animal lovers can identify individual species from the many-voiced bird chatter that greets them. Birds – and with some luck also squirrels and deer – can be seen more often on this forest hike. The Kyburg, whose walls date back to the time of the Habsburgs from the 11th to 13th century, has been largely preserved. Today, a museum in its chambers offers insight into the eventful history of the old and proud castle. At the Bruderhaus Wildlife Park, you can wonderfully end the day with extensive watching of wolves and lynxes, wisents and wild horses, as well as many other animals.
