Route Bort – Grindelwald

The path leads through beautiful cultural landscapes. Right at the beginning, the Schäftigenmoos/Schwynblatten area is crossed. Orchids and cotton grasses thrive in this wetland; the adjacent dry meadows look like huge flower gardens during flowering time. Above, Wetterhorn, Schreckhorn, Mettenberg, and the rugged north face of the Eiger form a fantastic backdrop. Once, the glaciers reached almost to the edge of the village, but over the course of the 20th century, they have retreated significantly. Still, the view remains fascinating.
