Route Beinwil am See – Hallwil

The day's destination and historical highlight of the route is the Hallwyl Water Castle. The 900-year-old building was carefully restored a few years ago. An exhibition provides insight into the eventful history of the castle and its inhabitants. You learn, for example, about the fate of Hans von Hallwyl and the background of the mysterious herbal laboratory run by Burkhard III. From the water castle, you can either take the bus or walk through the nature reserve to Boniswil.
