Route 3: Gais - Niederteufen

If we interrupted the hike in Gais, we ascend to Obergais. Otherwise, we turn right in Obergais down to Kriegersmühle. On the other side of the Wissbach, we go up again and cross the next ridge at Bühlerer Wissegg and down to Wette to the historic "Pfauen," an old inn that is now a residential house. For that, we can refresh ourselves at the inn after the next ascent to Waldegg. Now it goes along the Eggen Höhenweg with views over Kunzenegg and Fröhlichsegg down to Niederteufen at the station of the Appenzeller Bahnen.
