Description
Starting and ending point of this hike is the STI stop “Innereriz Säge” on line 41. The hiking trail leads behind the Restaurant Säge on an asphalted road over the “Dräckerberg” up to the “Hängschtli”. The path offers repeated open views of the local mountain landscape with the “Sieben Hengste”, the “Trogenhorn” and the “Hohgant”. The hiking trail through the forest leads over a footbridge into Rotmoos.
In this moorland, an incredible variety of plants and insects can be discovered, including – depending on the season – the round-leaved sundew, the butterwort, the bogbean or, with a bit of luck, the marsh stitchwort or the marsh gentian. Of course, various peat mosses, cranberry and the bog bilberry belong here as well. In midsummer, the high moor fritillary or the chequered skipper butterflies populate the moor. And of course, the moor lizard is not missing. From Rotmoos, it goes on paved roads through a small forest past the holiday home and past grazing cows towards “Trüschhubel”. From there, a tarmac road continues to “Vordere Hungerschwand” and back to the starting point, the Restaurant Säge with the STI stop “Innereriz Säge” on line 41.
