Description
Jakobshorn is easily accessible by cable car. At 2590 meters above sea level, you overlook the entire Landwasser valley. Popular is the hike to Stadlersee and further into the Sertig valley. More challenging is this variant over the Jatzhorn and the Tällifurgga. A spectacular hike that begins with a short but steep ascent. The Jatzhorn, the highest point of the hike, is reached after just half an hour. The path then leads slightly downhill and then exposed around the rock tower of the Witihüreli. Here, increased caution is required. The beautiful views into the Dischma valley and to Lake Davos should only be enjoyed while standing.
Postcard views are also guaranteed on the Tällifurgga. At the foot of Mittagshorn, Plattenfluh, and Hochducan lie the excursion destinations Sertig Sand and Sertig Dörfli in the Sertig valley. The landmark and photo motif is the church "Hinter den Eggen," built in 1699, which is also popular as a wedding chapel.
Those who want to end the hike in the Sertig valley and return to Davos by post bus can shorten the waiting time in one of the inns. Alternatively, one chooses the hiking path along the Sertig stream downhill and reaches the starting point Davos again.
