Description

The varied circular route from the old Rhine bridge to the new hydropower plant and back on the other side of the Rhine lasts about 100 minutes. The walk offers relaxing and stimulating impressions by the river and insights into the eventful settlement history spanning nine centuries.

Experience the dynamics of the Rhine and the innovative hydropower technology, enjoy the diverse nature, the spacious former spa park, the historic old town, and the enchanting Burgstell with Inseli in the midst of the waters.

The two Rheinfelden cities jointly maintain this nature and cultural preservation in their midst and noticeably connect their two towns.

Burgstell and Inseli are the crowning highlight of the Rhine bank circular route. In the 19th century, a park was created here and restored in the course of bridge renovation according to historical models. The sculpture group of Agnes, a crown, and the vow hand recall the eventful history.

The Rheinfelden Rhine bank circular route is part of the Rheinliebe trail of the IBA Basel and runs from Bad Bellingen in Germany and Kembs in France via the two Rheinfelden towns to Bad Säckingen on the German side and Stein in the canton of Aargau. The Rheinliebe heart accompanies you in discovering the Rhine landscape and its treasures. Information about Rheinliebe.
