Rhine Gorge: Versam circular hike

The hike begins at the school building in Versam. After a few steps, a hiking trail branches off to the right. It leads to a red bench with a magnificent view. From here, it is worth taking a detour to the right to the old quarry, a wooded hilltop with a magnificent view of the Versam ravine with the old and new bridge, the rocky road to Bonaduz and the Rhine gorge. Follow the same path back to the bench, where a steep path branches off. It joins the Islaplanggen forest path, which leads to the Islabord at the viewing platform without any incline. Although this is not as famous as the Flims platform, it also offers a great view of the gorge landscape. From the platform, we follow the road for a short distance towards Versam until a forest road soon branches off to the left. Follow this road through the wonderful deciduous forest back to Versam and the starting point. On the way, you will be rewarded with another beautiful view of the Rhine Gorge.
