Description
The second stage of the regional Bike route 442 is packed with impressive views. At the beginning, the proud Tarasp Castle at the foot of the distinctive Lower Engadine Dolomites dominates the panorama. Later, the individual Lower Engadine villages repeatedly appear on the horizon and in the distance, all of which are visited on the route, namely Scuol, Sent, Vnà and Ramosch.
The long and altitude-intensive ride into Val Sinestra is technically easy and repeatedly allows views of the picturesque and eerily appearing health resort building Val Sinestra as well as of the earth pyramids near Zuort. The Prümaran da Muranza at the highest point of the route lies idyllically above Zuort in Val Laver and presents a view of the last kilometers of the route.
In Zuort, at the confluence of the Aua da Laver and Brancla, it is worth stopping for refreshment at the year-round open restaurant before continuing on the left valley side to Vnà and descending to the daily target Ramosch, at the foot of the Tschanüff castle ruins.
