Description

The Rätikon rises with steep limestone walls from green grassy slopes and scree fields. The highest peak in the area is the Schesaplana (2964m), with a small glacier on the north side. The bizarre limestone formations of the Sulzfluh resemble a lunar landscape. If all goes well, we will climb both peaks. On clear days, you have a view to the Bernina massif, about 80 km as the crow flies. There is a high chance we will encounter groups of chamois along the way. Although much of the route runs on beaten paths, we will undoubtedly cross small snowfields and the route includes a few difficult passages secured with cables.
