Rätikon 7 day

Best Time of Year
Description
The village of Brand lies in the Brandnertal at 1,037 meters elevation. The eight-day route runs along and over the main ridge of the Rätikon, from west to east. Ultimately, the route describes a kind of loop northwestwards. The route starts and ends in Brand. Under good conditions, the Schesaplana (2,964m) and the Sulzfluh (2,818m) can be climbed, two peaks with a beautiful view. In general, the route follows good hiking trails, but for example on the two mentioned peaks and a few passes alpine terrain must be expected. Some sections are quite exposed or, in technical terms: exposed.
Because the Rätikon is on the one hand easily accessible, and on the other hand offers very beautiful hiking and climbing possibilities, it is a relatively popular area, which can be quite busy in the summer months. The area is well linked with huts.
