Raetica Classica

The circular route is called Raetica Classica for a reason. For centuries, all of these regions belonged to the Free State of the Three Leagues, the predecessor state of Graubünden.

The route combines scenic and cultural highlights, to name but a few: the beautiful Upper Engadin lake landscape, the largest chestnut forest in Europe, the Valtellina wine-growing region and the imposing mountain world around the Bernin Pass with its glaciers.

Stages:

Stage 1: St. Moritz - Chiavenna

Stage 2: Chiavenna - Morbegno

Stage 3: Morbegno - Tirano

Stage 4: Tirano - St. Moritz
