Description
The pleasure hike starts in the village of Sigriswil at the Raft schoolhouse parking lot. At the end of the parking lot is the spectacular 340 m long and about 180 m high panoramic bridge which leads to Aeschlen. Crossing the bridge, which has been awarded the Prix Acier, costs CHF 8.00. An alternative is the Gummischlucht themed trail (+ 30 min). From there, you pass the Hotel Panorama, then a very short stretch down Aeschlenstrasse on the left. Shortly afterwards, turn right onto the hiking trail that ascends to Allmid. A small road through Äbes Moos continues flat and then turns onto the hiking trail that leads up to Margel. Here there is a unique view of the Sigriswilergrat, Lake Thun, and the foothills of the Alps. The path then continues to Margelsattel and over Tschingelallmi to the Blueme lookout tower. From the tower, you enjoy a view as far as the Jura and the Bernese Alps. At the foot of the lookout tower is a family fire pit with tables and benches inviting you to take a long rest.
