Description

In the Val Lumnezia you will find many powerful natural places. The hike takes you from power spot to power spot. Perhaps you will feel the different energy qualities or even find long-sought answers to certain questions.

From Degen, head southeast to the Pest Chapel Sogn Bistgaun with its onion dome tower (10). At the field crossroads, take the southern turnoff, which leads you to Carrera to the Devil's Stone (11). Then the path gently descends through the pasture. The remains of the destroyed stone circle (12) are located at the far east of the open pasture. If you are good on foot, hike uphill to the lush edge of the forest. Here, in the swampy terrain, you can observe various tree growth forms. Then walk back to the Devil's Stone. On the hill behind the Devil's Stone stands the so-called communication stone (14). This corresponds with a witches' dance stone of the Alp Salischina at the back of the valley. Further up at the forest edge is a mystical flat place (13) with a small spring and two large stones.

10. The chapel Sogn Bistgaun was built after a plague wave toward the end of the 13th century. The well-known hiking painter Hans Ardüser painted the monumental image of Saint Christopher on the tower wall. Have you noticed that the saint is holding an apple tree? Famous is the Gothic winged altar from the year 1506. Stand in front of it and recharge the wonderfully uplifting powers.

11.  The Devil's Stone lies a few meters above the street under a much larger block. Geology considers the "Crap dil Giavel" as the capstone of a stone table or dolmen. Although the formerly cult-used stone is no longer at its original place, it radiates wonderfully beneficial powers; can you feel it?

12. The three-snake stone "Crap dallas Treis Siarps" with its meandering lines and cup marks resembles drinking snakes. This symbol is common in Graubünden. It stands in a destroyed stone setting a little above the old death path that led from Degen to Peiden. Geology sees in the engraving possible evidence that concrete measurements exist for the impressive solar eclipse on 25.12.1089 BC.

13.  From the Devil's Stone, the path goes up to a small hill. From here you have a wonderful view up to the rock face of Pleif. In the northern part there is a small hollow—a truly magical place with high and uplifting powers. Immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere and let yourself be transported to another world.

14. Slightly further up stands a stone exactly on the ridge. This stone communicates with the witch stone of Alp Salischina at the back of the Val Lumnezia. Recharge from the high, uplifting powers, let your gaze wander into the valley, and enjoy the peace.

15.  Between the "Crap dil Giavel" and the viewpoint grows a small group of ash and birch trees with a special aura. They provide pleasant freshness and sparkling life energy. Sensitive people sense the presence of well-disposed beings.
