Description

From Chamanna Jenatsch:

From Chamanna Jenatsch (2652 m) towards Fuorcla d'Agnel up to 2850 m, where you turn sharply left and ascend a rather steep diagonal to Fuorcla Traunter Ovas (3024 m). From here, slightly south to the east summit (3196 m) or west summit (3193 m) of Piz Surgondas. Time: 2 hrs.

Descent: following the ascent route or into Val Bever

From Alp Giüglia:

From Alp Giüglia (2215 m) on the Julier Pass road north into Valletta da Giüglia up to point 2543. Here northwest past Fuorcla Alva (2791 m) to point 2912 at the start of the southern ridge of Piz Surgonda. Follow this ridge up to just below the subpeak 3160, then veer left crossing the southwest slope to the east summit (3196 m) of Piz Surgonda. Time: 3.5 hrs.

Descent: along the ascent route or to La Veduta.

From La Veduta:

From La Veduta (Julier Hospiz) on the Julier Pass road (2237.9 m) north over the ridge and then gently upwards through a little-known small valley in the map, called Val d'Immez in the Engadin, up to Fuorcla Alva (2791 m). Further northwest to point 2912 and up the southern ridge of the subpeak, finally over its southwest slope to the east summit (3196 m) of Piz Surgonda. 3.5 hrs.

Descent: the broad landscape offers several options. Generally following the ascent routes or directly south into Val d'Agnel.
