Piz Lischana: S-charl – Scuol
Informationen zur Route
Best Time of Year
Description
After starting in S-charl, the path steadily ascends into Val Sesvenna. Shortly after Alp Sesvenna, the trail turns left and a steep, alpine (sure-footedness required) ascent follows through the Fora da l’aua to the wide lake plateau Lais da Rims. The lunar landscape amidst the rugged three-thousanders of the Sesvenna group is perfect for a photo break. There is a good chance of spotting ibex from the Sesvenna colony here. From the saddle “Fuorcla da Rims” (alt. 2862 m), Piz Lischana (3105 m above sea level) can be reached via a non-marked path along the southeast ridge. The same path is used for the return to the saddle. From here, descend northwards to the staffed Lischana hut (SAC, 2500 m above sea level) and steeply further through the dwarf pines and later through dense forest in Val Lischana to San Jon (1465 m, PostAuto stop, restaurant) or Scuol (1198 m).
Variation Alternatively, Piz Lischana can be tackled from/to Scuol. This involves a few more altitude meters on the ascent.
