Piz Caschlé

Description
Our track goes almost straight into Val Milar up to point 1898. Here we climb steep switchbacks to the Alp Caschlé. A legend says that witches transported a flat stone by a spider thread from the opposite Alp Culmatsch to Alp Caschlé and danced on it. But the Hexenplatte / Platta dil Barlot is snow-covered and we see no witches far and wide. Instead, we startled some chamois. Looking north, we see our destination. At the foot of the east ridge a ski depot can be made, but if there is enough snow, the summit is reachable with skis. Because we do not find a summit cross with summit book, we build a small stone man as a sign that we were here. We take our time to identify the mountains: don't Piz Muraun, Cazirauns, and Caschleglia almost look like Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau?
Descent:
Option 1: Back along the ascent route into Val Milar.
Option 2: Over Stavel da Caschlé to Foppa Verda and along the forest edge (wildlife sanctuary) into Val Milar. Caution due to avalanches, if necessary slip down a bit at the forest edge.
