"Pilgrim Route", bike route, Fischingen – Meilen

You start stage 2 in Fischingen, Thurgau, where shortly after starting you pass the impressive monastery. Soon you will face the climb over steep wooded hills towards the well-known Hörnli and cross the cantonal border into the Zurich Oberland. Shortly thereafter you reach the peaceful village of Sternenberg with its magnificent view into the Tösstal. Stop here and enjoy a delicious meal at the Gasthaus Sternen or the Gasthof Sunnebad.

Afterwards follows the descent down into the Tösstal. Now you ride more leisurely, mostly flat or even slightly downhill, always along the beautiful Pfäffikersee, an ideal place for a break, surrounded by reeds and blooming wetlands. You then continue mostly flat through residential areas and farmland until you reach Mönchaltorf. Here you tackle the last climb. At the top, you see Lake Zurich, then simply roll down to the shore, and the stage goal is reached.
