Description

Because of the moorland area, this route has some very wet sections. It is recommended to undertake the hike after longer dry periods. In bad weather and wet conditions, difficult terrain must be expected.

From the Langis mountain hotel, the path leads over a small hill to Schwendi-Kaltbad. The path then rises straight ahead, passing the Andresen hut and through the forest up to the Schlierengrat to the Bärnerstig. From there, the Schlierengrat heads northwards in gentle ups and downs through blueberry bushes and past gnarled pines and spruces. After about three-quarters of an hour of hiking, you reach the signpost indicating the descent to Rosenwang. From there, the hiking trail leads down to Rorersmatt, where there is a change of direction towards the south. Over Bärzopf, a pasture path leads through a stream ditch over flat moors down to the Schlierental road. Finally, the path follows the Große Schliere, passing several fire pits to Schwendi Kaltbad. Numerous refreshments await at the mountain restaurant Schwendi – Kaltbad. Over the slight hill, the route returns along the edge of protected moor biotopes back to Langis.
