Description
From the Court station along the main road towards the gorge. At the village exit you cross the La Birse. Then go under the railway line and follow the small river Le Chaluet down into the valley. The path soon rises in wide loops to the shady deciduous forest. Magnificent view of Court, into the Chaluet valley, and on the forest belt of Envers de Montoz. Passing the farm Les Ordons, you reach through another forest slope the highest point of Graitery. Wonderful panoramic views of Montagne de Moutier, into the Moutier gorge, to Raimeux, to Blauen and to the Vosges. Partly without paths, it now goes over the pasture eastwards. At the eastern edge of a cliff, a steep path descends through the forest down to the cattle barn Loge aux Boeufs. Again, you head uphill. A barely visible path leads over pasture and through forest to the highest point of Oberdörferberg, which forms not only the border to the canton of Solothurn but also the language border. The descent is gentle over the grazing ridge to the Backihaus, steep is the forest path along the cliff band leading into the deeply incised Raus valley to the Gänsbrunnen station.
