At the starting point of the hike at the Goldiwil Church bus stop, the indication Hüinibode applies. This intermediate destination is missing on some signposts, then the route to Multenegg is to be followed. On residential streets you ascend to the Melli district. At the signpost at location Goldiwil/Flüeli 1020 m, the direction Egg is to be observed. Now a path branches off to the left and ascends over pastures or through forest to Egg. In addition to the official hiking signpost, 20 more indicate distances to places around the world. Now you descend along the forest edge to Multenegg. The indication Schwendi on the signpost gives the direction. The route leads on level ground to Hüinibode. A rest stop with a fireplace is convenient for a break. For the continuation of the hike, the indication Gründerahorn must be followed. You reach it via a pasture and through forest. The tree was planted in 1895 to commemorate the construction of the Höhenklinik. A monument recalls the founding personalities. A short descent leads to the rehab clinic. The signpost shows the designation of the next intermediate destination: Niesenbänkli. This is reached without major altitude differences on a driveway and later on a forest path. As the name suggests, benches invite you to enjoy the view. Thun Lake, the Niesen, and other peaks of the Bernese Alps are visible here and await to be admired. Refreshed and inspired by the impressive landscape, you descend over a pasture to Ringoldswil. From then on, you should keep the goal Schwanden in sight. Altitude-wise the route leads to Äschlenallmi and around the Margel to the destination at the Schwanden village bus stop.
