Olten-Dottenberg-Hauenstein-Schmutzberg-Olten

The route starts in Olten, at the Schützenmatte. Initially, it goes along the main road to Trimbach and through residential areas. After the railway crossing, the climb begins via Marenacher to Mahren, towards Wartenfels Castle in Lostorf and around the Dottenberg, the highest point of the route. Then it continues past the Restaurant Froburg to Hauenstein (as an alternative, you can shortcut directly to Hauenstein). From here, we follow the Belchen-Panorama-Route No. 112 of Schweiz Mobil. On the main road, turn right towards Baselbiet, where after about 500 m the road turns left to Schmutzberg. Now the second ascent to Schmutzberg and onwards to Challhöchi begins, where the Belchen-Panorama-Route is left. Here the descent starts via Ifenthal to Trimbach. At the Restaurant Eisenbahn, the route runs again on the main road back to Olten.
