Description

From Rothrist, the route winds through charming villages and past green meadows and wide fields to Lenzburg. The historic old town is worth a visit. Quaint cafés invite you to a relaxing break, and the castle ruin bearing the same name, which towers above the town, offers a wonderful panoramic view over the region. In good visibility, you can even see Wildegg Castle with its historic garden and the Esterli tower.

With renewed energy, the bike is climbed and the pedals are pushed powerfully. This section of the route also leads through gentle rolling hills with plenty of greenery. Crossing the Reuss River, the historic small town of Mellingen is passed, and soon Baden is reached, following the edge of the Heitersberg. The spa town on the Limmat has, besides the richest mineral thermal water in Switzerland, a variety of wellness offerings for body, mind, and soul – perfect for relaxing tired limbs.
