No. 25 Elsigsee round Elsigenalp - Elsigsee

From the Berghaus Elsigenalp or the cable car mountain station, bikers enjoyably ride along the paved road to the Elsighütte / upper Elsigenalp. There, the route branches off right onto a narrower path. Bikers follow the signage to the Elsigsee. Where the hiking trail branches off, a detour to the cool water is worthwhile. The beautiful mountain lake is located at an altitude of 1885 meters above sea level, hidden behind mighty fir trees, inviting to rest or a refreshing swim. There are barbecue areas on the shore. In hot, low-precipitation summers, the Elsigsee is often dried up from about August. The return route leads via Dürrenegga on the wide road – the Elsigsee round: a bike route for connoisseurs and those seeking tranquility!
