Description

The Niesehore can be approached from Iffigenalp, or with an overnight stay from the Wildhornhütte. From Iffigenalp, the first meters of altitude are gained with a pleasant ascent through the Iffig valley. After this rather leisurely start through the wild valley, it gradually becomes steeper and after another 300 meters of altitude, the frozen Iffigsee is reached. This is the right place to take a break before the further ascent. Nestled among high mountains, the Iffigsee is a true power spot. Refreshed, the route continues to the Wildhornhütte. The ascent continues on the route to the Wildhorn up to about 2,500 m above sea level, before crossing the southern ridge of the Niesehore on the right. Behind you is now the Wildhorn massif, looking north to the Simmental and the Saanenland. On the summit, the view can be enjoyed to the fullest.

The descent first follows the ridge north, then turns left into a beautiful slope where the fun of skiing really begins. Every hard-won meter of altitude can be savored on this dreamlike descent to Iffigenalp.
