Description
This bike route begins with a climb to the Bommer ponds. The effort is worthwhile, as you can wonderfully rest in the delightful nature reserve. Now it goes through forests to the next attraction: the Napoleon Tower. The view over Lake Constance and to the Alps was already enjoyed by Napoleon III before he became Emperor of France. In the further course along the Seerücken, views of lake and mountain alternate regularly, before the route descends into the Seebach valley. This landscape with the three lakes is another highlight of the route; a jump into the Nussbaumersee is a must.
The route then mostly runs flat around the Stammerberg to Stein am Rhein. There you board the ship with the bike (direction Kreuzlingen), which you leave again in Mannenbach. The last stretch briefly climbs to the scenic Arenenberg, the former residence of the mentioned Napoleon III. Via Ermatingen and Gottlieben, you finally reach the starting point.
At Tour de Suisse Rad AG, you can test your bike or e-bike at their own ergonomics station or pick up pre-reserved rental bikes from rentabike.ch. Before or after the route, the bike café and showroom invite you to enjoy and discover.
